BEAUTY / GRAPHIC PINK

A few days ago, I dyed my hair pink. An impulsive decision when shopping for fresh beauty supplies and I spotted a new permanent pink dye. I’m currently really loving it and hoping it’ll fade to a paler shade as time progresses and my roots start to grow out again.

WEARING / CROP CROCHET

Summer is quickly approaching and in Nottingham it’s perfect non-jacket weather. This cute crochet jacket/top I bought from ASOS (by Monki) is perfect as it suits as both an over top and jacket in one.

BEAUTY / SIGNATURE FRAGRANCE

For my current university project, we have been researching into the art of perfumery and how it is marketed and branded. During one of my research trips into a department store I spotted CK2, the new genderless perfume from Calvin Klein.

Upon talking to a sales associate; their marketing and choice of perfume ingredients* felt so fresh – and has definitely became inspiration for creating our own scent brand in university.

WEARING / SLOUCHY KNITS

As spring approaches, theres something so lovely about not having to pile as many layers on. I find thin knits perfect for the transition between seasons, especially when worn with an overcoat. These knits from Zara provide the perfect balance between warmth, comfort and style.

WEARING / VINYL HEELS

While casually browsing Zara.com this morning, I came across the most perfect heels from their SS16 collection. White, vinyl and pointed; everything I could want in a pair of heels and at £29.99 these are an absolute steal! They also remind me of the Gianvito Rossi heels worn by InTheFrow, which I have been dying over for months – but for a fraction of the price.

COLLECTION / LOUIS VUITTON

Will 2016 be the year of Louis Vuitton? Well, by judging how their year has gone only 28 days in, I think it may well be. With campaigns that have gone viral and ones that have pushed sexist boundaries, and they just keep getting better and better.

Their most recent collection for menswear fall 2016 was inspired by Paris, with Art Deco designs, scribbly Jean Cocteau–esque drawings, a pile of Vuitton monogram trunks and a chiffon drape hanging from the ceiling- enough to make anyone excited!

NOVELTY / TONAL DRESSING

As we move into the new year, theres an arising trend that is popular with bloggers and celebrity street style that I hope becomes more of a macro trend this year rather than a fad left in 2015. Tonal dressing.

Personally, I think there is something so aesthetically pleasing about outfits made up of similar colours, whether it be neutrals such as grey, camel or white, or something more outrageous like red – as seen on Solange Knowles at the Carven fall/winter 2015 show at Paris fashion week.
