Summer is quickly approaching and in Nottingham it’s perfect non-jacket weather. This cute crochet jacket/top I bought from ASOS (by Monki) is perfect as it suits as both an over top and jacket in one.

DSC_0705collage-17For a while now, I’ve been searching for the ‘perfect’ winter coat ready for when autumn hits, but I’ve really struggled. However, last week I was browsing in some thrift shops near where I live and absolutely feel in love with this dark grey longline one. It’s a few sizes larger than I would normally wear, but I feel that gives it character, making it perfect for layering or throwing over my shoulders.
And for £10, it was an absolute steal.

I recently got this white split midi skirt from Fashion Bunker and it pairs perfectly with my boxy crop shirt from House of Sunny along with this box bag from Marks and Spencer’s. I also really love the contract of my roots and matte black nails against the all white boxy pieces. Fiona

Last week, the lovely people at House of Sunny invited me down to their studio in London to view some of their current pieces as well as their upcoming Autumn/Winter collection and try on some of their garments.
It was an amazing experience which allowed me to get an inside view on how their beautiful garments are designed and made.

I tried on two outfits whilst I was there, one being their never seen before striped silk outdoor pyjama set which is part of their upcoming A/W15 collection which I am so in love with! The detail put into their garments is just amazing along with the fact all their patterns and garments are made by hand in their studio.

After leaving the studio, I did some shopping around London and went to the Oxford Circus Topshop which stocks some of their garments. I picked a few for myself; the ultra shirt and the ribbed crop top which I worn non stop since I bought them and I will be featuring them in many future blog posts.

Thank you once again to Sunny and everyone at HoS for inviting me down to their studio! If you haven’t already, make sure you check out House of Sunny for beautiful clean aesthetic pieces which can easily become staples in any wardrobe.

collage-8collage-9collage-6 My dad recently redecorated my room for me with all new furniture from Ikea and I’m having so much fun taking pictures in my new aesthetic room. I also feel like it’s given me a new perspective, whilst discovering that I find putting together flat pack furniture oddly calming. Which has also inspired me to get back into DIY-ing. Recently I have been inspired by the origami pleat style pants but couldn’t justify spending money on them. Instead, I thrifted a pair of size 18 white pants and made them myself by folding the excess material into a pleat at the front and stitching it into place; I’m so happy with how they’ve turned out. I realised the other day, that I actually didn’t own a plain white t-shirt. The simplest of all things. So I decided, I wanted to buy a fairly good quality one and combined with Weekday offering free delivery due to their new website launch, this was the perfect opportunity.

Since it’s arrived, I’ve literally worn it non stop as it’s so comfy. I have no idea how I lived without it beforehand.

Last weekend, I went shopping with my sister and she needed a few bits and bobs from Primark. I’m not an avid Primark goer myself, because I just don’t think their products appeal to me. However, whilst I was in there I spotted these beautiful block heels and I couldn’t leave them.

I think they’re a great addition to my white heel collection, alongside my beautiful Topshop mules.
